Our actions will determine our happiness and pain

If the actions we have done do not immediately affect us, they seem to disappear after that time, and there will be no harm. But in fact, these actions will still remain in "karma"; when the power of karma matures, it will affect us and become different kinds of pain and happiness. In other words, the pain and happiness we feel now are actually caused by the karma of our past actions.

"Karma" is divided into good and bad. Good karma will make us happy, and bad karma will make us painful. Good karma is caused by good deeds. What is good deeds? Acts that make others happy and seek welfare for others are good acts; on the contrary, bad karma is caused by evil acts, and acts that make others painful and sacrifice others' welfare are evil acts. Broadly speaking, behavior that obeys ethics and law is good, and behavior that violates ethics and law is evil.

The important point of ‘karma’ is about the thoughts of our mind. The idea of wanting to benefit others and wanting others to keep away from pain and get happiness will cause good karma; selfishness, sacrificing the interests of others to achieve their own interests, such ideas, will Causes evil behaviors, and then becomes bad karma.

A wise person will make his actions from a long-term perspective. Selfish, self-interested, and the actions that hurt others for getting one’s own advantage seem to be good for oneself in the short term, but they cause bad karma and will surely suffer the painful effect in the future. Short-sighted people are greedy for immediate benefits and have a gambling attitude, believing that their actions do not break the law, are not discovered by others, or do no harm to themselves temporarily, and then act against their own conscience. They will eventually suffer the effects; they think they can avoid the retribution of karma, and when their bad karma matures and they feel pain, it is too late to regret.

People who only care about their own interests all the time, ignore the suffering of others, and sacrifice the welfare of others, will not feel real happiness; only by letting go of the attachments of ‘self’(one’s own interests) can they be truly relived and get real happiness. If people understand the principle of karma, then we can live in a peaceful and tranquil society.
